About

Chetna in her studio

— Chetna —

For most of my life, I believed I had no talent for art.

I grew up convinced that creativity was something other people had — a gift I had been quietly skipped over. I was the practical one, the careful one, the one who admired beautiful things from a distance and never imagined making them myself.

Then something shifted. As I began to walk more deeply into my spiritual journey — slowing down, listening inward, learning to be still — a door opened that I didn't know existed. The clay found me before I found it.

I work entirely by hand. No wheel, no shortcuts — just coils, slabs, pinches, and time. Each piece is built slowly, the way a thought becomes a sentence, the way a breath becomes a prayer. When I sit with the clay, the thinking mind quiets. My hands move without my asking, and the piece becomes whatever it wants to be.

This studio is what unfolded when I stopped believing I had nothing to offer. It is earth, it is fire, and it is the quiet space between the two.

Behind every stroke, shape, and creation on this page is the light of my guru, Maa Gyaan Suveera. When she entered my life, her teachings brought a beautiful awakening, revealing a creative depth in me that had long been quiet. I dedicate this space to her — the guiding light who taught me to see, feel, and create from the heart.
